25+ Freaky Yet Amazing Facts About The Human Body

#18: New Bones Every 10 Years

Our bodies are ever-changing and always growing, including our bones. Sometimes, not always for the better. But, if it seems that your body never stop changing, you’re not wrong. Our bones regenerate throughout the span of 10 years. Throughout our lifetime, we will have a mixture of old bones and new bones in our bodies at the same time.

When children are young, they simply do not stop growing. At times, children experience “growing pains” which is expressed in pain or soreness in their bones as they are growing and their bones are changing. While we regenerate bone growth in our older years, it does slow down a bit. Eventually, the growth does come to a halt, and sometimes the bones then start to degenerate or break down.
