#32: Pregnancy Brain
We’ve all heard of “pregnancy brain” and turns out it’s not a myth after all. If you’ve ever been pregnant, you know that your body does some wild things while it’s growing that little person of yours. While our bellies and sometimes other parts of us grow to accommodate another tenant for nine months, our brains actually shrink. Don’t worry though, it returns to normal by the time your child hits the age of six months old!
That’s why pregnant women sometimes seem more silly and forgetful. Once you’re no longer pregnant, your body does a sort of “factory reset.” You’ll find your belly (mostly) goes back down on its own as your brain grows back up on its own to its normal size. Sometimes, though, it feels as though that pregnancy brain lasts quite a long time!
