Katharine Ross: Fame, Five Marriages, and Her Lasting Love With Sam Elliott

In 1986, she and Sam Elliott appeared together in the television film Houston: The Legend of Texas. Elliott portrayed Texas soldier and political leader Sam Houston, while she played Alamo survivor Susanna Dickinson.

The historical production allowed the married couple to share the screen within another Western story. Their professional partnership was expanding, but Ross was also beginning to develop a creative career far beyond acting.
