#25: La La Land (2016)
La La Land charmed audiences with its nostalgic nod to classic Hollywood musicals, but did it genuinely deserve the overwhelming praise? While its dreamy cinematography and vibrant color palette create a visually enchanting experience, the film falters in storytelling, offering a predictable romance that lacks emotional depth.

The dance sequences, though stylish, never reach the grandeur of the golden-age musicals it emulates. And despite sweeping the Golden Globes, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone’s vocal performances leave much to be desired, making the musical feel underwhelming.
