Toy Story, here’s a movie for all ages! The hidden adult jokes are so subtle that no kid could possibly understand them, but they’re hilarious nonetheless. Did you know Buzz Lightyear and Woody are actually based on real toys? John Lasseter, the film’s director, said Woody and Buzz were loosely based on toys from his own childhood: a Casper Doll with a pull string like Woody, and then later, a GI Joe doll.
When Toy Story hit the theaters back in 1995, most people didn’t catch the ”Hooker Doll” subtle joke. Thanks to a Reddit user, years later, we are now able to appreciate the geniality behind the best adult joke in Toy Story. To be honest, I probably wouldn’t even realize the meaning behind that hook if I didn’t see it on the internet. Thanks, Reddit user!
