Following the end of All in the Family, the character of Archie Bunker continued in a new series titled Archie Bunker’s Place. The show shifted the setting from the Bunker home to a neighborhood bar that Archie owned and operated.

The spinoff allowed him to continue portraying the character that had defined his career. While the tone evolved and some original cast members departed, Archie Bunker remained the central figure of the new series for several more years.
