#9: He Starts Playing in Teenage Bands During the 1960s
As a teenager in the 1960s, he began performing in early bands, including Lynx, which was later renamed the Missing Links. These groups gave him his first real experience with rehearsals, audiences, band dynamics, and the idea that music could become more than a hobby.

He was still far from the stage persona that would make him famous, but the foundation was forming. Every small band taught him something about image, ambition, and control, and he was beginning to see music as a way out.
