The States Where Jobs Are Disappearing and Where They’re Moving to Instead

Georgia’s job market was active, even though losses came in just slightly higher than gains. New jobs can come from logistics, film and entertainment, health care, construction, manufacturing, tech, and the busy business scene around Atlanta.

But Georgia still lost jobs too. Some companies may slow hiring, cut staff, or close locations when costs rise or demand weakens. Smaller service businesses can also feel pressure from rent, wages, and competition. So while Georgia is still a major job hub, this quarter was almost evenly split.
