#32: Oklahoma
Jobs Gained: 6.0%
Jobs Lost: 6.4%
Oklahoma had plenty of hiring activity, with jobs being created in energy, health care, aerospace, manufacturing, transportation, construction, and local service businesses. Oklahoma City and Tulsa also help support a wider mix of professional and business jobs.

Still, job losses came in higher than gains. Oil and gas can rise and fall quickly, and some smaller businesses may cut back when costs increase or demand slows. Oklahoma’s job market was active, but the losses were moving a little faster.
