#48: New Hampshire
Jobs Gained: 5.6%
Jobs Lost: 6.8%
New Hampshire still had new jobs coming in through health care, tourism, education, manufacturing, retail, construction, and small businesses. Its quality of life and access to larger New England job markets can also help support hiring.

But the job-loss side was much stronger. High housing costs, limited worker supply, seasonal slowdowns, and pressure on small employers can all make growth harder. New Hampshire may be attractive to live in, but this data shows its job market had a tough stretch.
