The States Where Jobs Are Disappearing and Where They’re Moving to Instead

Utah’s job market was moving quickly, with lots of jobs being created and lots being lost. The state has strong growth in areas like tech, construction, health care, finance, outdoor recreation, and business services, especially around Salt Lake City and the surrounding region.

Still, fast growth can bring job losses too. Some companies may slow hiring, downsize after expanding too quickly, or struggle with higher costs and competition. Utah still came out slightly ahead, but the numbers show a busy job market with plenty of change.
